This morning we were notified about the sudden passing of David Olney. David was part of the woodwork of In the Woods. Since the beginning of our series he was a regular visitor of our stage. A man with a broad knowledge and interest in others. His music and lyrics could only be described accurately as POETRY in capitals. Citing Steve Earle: David is one of the best song writers in the world, I'll stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that! In 2018 David did his last show at In the Woods and his show was filmed for a documentary ( not yet released) but we had the pleasure to see it. I sincerely hope it will be released soon for anybody to see. Our last goodbye was different, as you will read in the review of that show October 13 2018. We lost a lot of heroes the last years. Rituals you take for granted can change in a heartbeat. What is left are memories and great music!
